Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) Leeds Fast, Reliable & Fully Compliant

Commercial EPC Energy Performance Certificates | EPC Surveys | EPC Rating | Non Domestic EPC | EPC Reports | Commercial EPC Assessors | EPC Commercial Buildings | Energy Assessments

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) shows how energy efficient a property is, rating it from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). EPCs are a legal requirement when selling, letting, or building a property in the UK. Our accredited assessors provide quick turnaround EPCs for commercial properties, helping you stay compliant and improve energy efficiency.

What Is an Energy Performance Certificate?

An EPC provides:

  • An energy efficiency rating (A–G)
  • Estimated energy costs
  • Carbon dioxide emissions impact
  • Practical recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce bills

EPCs are valid for 10 years and must be available to prospective buyers or tenants before marketing a property.

When Do You Need an EPC?

You will need a valid EPC if you are:

  • Selling a residential or commercial property
  • Renting or leasing a property
  • Constructing a new building
  • Marketing a property for sale or let

Landlords must ensure their properties meet Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), usually E rating or above, unless a valid exemption applies.

Commercial EPCs

Commercial properties require a Non-Domestic Energy Performance Certificate (NDEPC). We assess:

  • Offices
  • Retail units
  • Warehouses
  • Industrial buildings
  • Public sector properties

Our Commercial EPC Service Includes:

About Our EPC Services

EPC Introduction

EPCCS carries out Energy Performance Certificates that were introduced in 2007 as a requirement for a vendor or landlord to produce when a property was being sold or rented.  The EPC is a report of the property’s energy rating, based on the use of heating, water heating and lighting.

In 2007 Energy Performance Certificates were introduced by the government for properties sold or Let. The EPC is a report of the property’s energy rating, based on the use of heating, water heating and lighting.

Grading and Marketing

The report grades the property from the lowest level of a ‘G’ (1) to ‘A’ (100) and the higher figure would reflect a building that is near to ‘self-sufficient’ in terms of energy use. The EPC needs to be produced within 28 days of marketing a property and a solicitor will not complete the transaction until the EPC is in place.

Where and Why?

EPC’s are required for residential and commercial properties for selling or to Let, in the UK and across Europe.  The purpose of the report is to reduce the energy consumption of buildings by becoming more efficient and therefore reducing the pollution in the atmosphere, whilst minimising our reliance on other countries for our energy supply. EPCCS can manage your requirement from the initial survey through the various stages including costs from trades to enable compliance….A one stop shop.
